Important date passed : Apil 18th/四月十八日World Heritage Day!

There are three types of world heritage: natural, cultural and hybrid of nature and culture miracle. A total of 1121 world heritage sites exist across 167 countries. With 55 sites each, China and Italy are the countries with most sites on the list of UNESCO

April 20th/四月二十日, UN Chinese Language day, to commemorate the creator of Chinese language CangJie/仓颉. Let's speak Chinese! You are welcome to drop in your videoclip about your favorite Chinese food, cities, expressions on our social media account: FB, Ins, Twetter 


April 22nd/ 四月二十二日 is the Earth Day!   This is one of the most important day in hihilulu's short history!  Education regarding earth and environment protection must starts early.  hihilulu has a group of determined, Chinese speaking Little Earth Guardians around the world.



April 23rd/ 四月二十三日World Book and Copyright Day, where hihilulu and its fans work on good reading habits. Draw & Tell is a special series of UGC audio picture books. Children are encouraged to freely use drawing and Chinese to create their own little books.  If your kids are interested, please drop their artwork to Miss Mandarine at atelier@hihilulu.com.



Bonus knowledge about China: Chinese herb plant

When we see the abundant yellow flowering shrub everywhere in Paris, we know it's spring again. This  bright yellow blossom surely lightens up our eyes and feeling. No wonder it won a romantic name called " Mimosa de Paris", during the Belle Epoque.



Digged a bit, found it's an hybride of Forsythia suspensa,  is a species of flowering plant in the family Oleaceae native to China!  and it was only introduced to Europe in middle of 19th century. Here it's is treasure of today: Forsythia suspensa is 1 of the 50 fundamental herbs used in traditional Chinese medicine. It contains the lignans Pinoresinol and phillyrin. Its' fruits are largely used as one important element in treating SARS and COVID in China! 


Anecdote: In a 2011 film " Contagion", Conspiracy theorist Alan Krumwiede blogs about the virus. He claims to have cured himself of the virus using a homeopathic cure derived from forsythia.
