Chinese language itself definitely is not the most difficult language in the world, yet the difficult part is to associate the writing of characters and oral speaking together. Someone can speak Chinese does not necessarily means he can read and write. This phenomenon is especially common among learners from non-Chinese speaking countries.
For a long time, hihilulu devotes to create a virtual Chinese language environment, by using theme-based animations and various interactive games, for non-Chinese speaking children to learn Chinese. The 800 characters and words with high frequency are closely related to children's daily life and pushed to young learners through algorithm level by level. This hihilulu method helps to accelerate immersive language acquisition.
At the same time, hihilulu is constantly exploring how to enable children to achieve breakthroughs in reading and writing Chinese most economically. We embrace 100% the 'Dualism Theory' by the world famous French Sinologist Professor Joël Bellassen, our Academic Advisor. Under his guidance, hihilulu is transforming this most scientific methodology into digitized Chinese character literacy particularly suitable for children. The purpose of this enriched learning strategy is to distinguish the gradual developing language skills of children, and enable them the skills of speaking and understanding Chinese, then to develop the skills of active reading and writing effectively.
A group of young kids from Germany will be the first beneficiaries of this new method. hihilulu specially tailored a plan of dual tracks learning: it not only adheres to hihilulu immersive Chinese language acquisition, but also integrates Professor Bellassen's character-based 'snowball learning'. Teachers shall teach firstly constructive characters and help students to make connections between characters and their spoken Chinese acquired from animations. All students shall be guided toward becoming character and words-conscious detectives through the techniques and strategies designed.
We'll keep elaborating more about this scientific theory.
